Superdrug in two-year diagnostic testing deal for health clinics

Superdrug has reached a two-year agreement with diagnostics company Thriva, which will allow customers at its health clinics to access at-home or in-clinic health testing, along with health reports and guidance from NHS-registered GPs.

The service will be provided using Thriva’s new diagnostics-as-a-service IT platform, which enables healthcare organisations and private companies to deliver diagnostics at scale, bringing testing to people on their local high-street.

Superdrug customers will be offered a range of health test kits, including their three newly launched antibody tests for chickenpox, Hepatitis B, and MMR.

Superdrug will also be offering a venous draw service via an online booking platform, enabling customers to purchase a health testing kit and book a blood test with a nurse remotely.

“For the last 14 years, our health clinics have been at the forefront of offering accessible healthcare provision to customers on the high street. Working with Thriva will enable our clinics to continue to deliver even greater health testing to their patients,” said Chloe Anderson, head of healthcare services at Superdrug.
